About the store
Bendixen's Shopify store promotes their brick and mortar gift and clothing store located in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania.
The problem
The outdated color scheme and images did not showcase the store's products. The store theme was a long outdated pre-sections version which didn't offer as many layout options as the newer version of the theme. Although Judi is comfortable keeping the store's product catalog updated she needed expertise to update the theme, organize collections, and format the homepage.
The results
Judi Bendixen turned to Storetasker to update their store's theme for their 40th anniversary celebrations.
The latest version of Minimal (a free Shopify theme) was installed, the color scheme was updated to a modern neutral palette that showcases, rather than competes, with the product images. New homepage main images and featured product images were selected, formated and optimized. The new map section was added to the homepage layout. It serves as a trust indicator to website visitors and a handy reference to local Pocono visitors. A Related Products section was added to the Product Pages and a Shipping Calculator added to the Cart Page.
Reformating the footer area into 4 columns from the previous 3 column layout makes it easier to see and find information quickly.
